   I just try your beta, and... it's magic! It's working.
   But it can't work with httpapi v.1.23. I'll use the beta.

     Here's the test program that I used, PLEASE TRY IT AND SEE WHAT YOU
     GET!

   in EBCDIC, @ is 44

   and my result with httpapi 1.23 :
   in EBCDIC, é(ecute) is C0
