Code for Paymentech
Dear All
Does anyone have the code to send/get card authorisations from
Paymentech? If so, could I look at it please? I will be hugely
grateful for the following reasons:
I work for a small company in Devon, UK. We are struggling to comply
with PCI in that we find we must either encrypt credit card numbers or
do not store at all. We decided on the latter approach by using
Paymentechservice both to authorise and store for us, using a token
to retrieve the card number should we need it.
Thatthe theory, but the practical is doing my head in. I never
before had to get an AS/400 communicating with anything (except
placing/retrieving files from a local PC via shared folders). Also,
this one runs in a S/36 environment - Ihalf way through converting
RPG2 code to RPG3 till runs MRTs!
Icompletely green to HTTP and only know of XML, with no practical
experience, and barely dabbled in RPGIV. The Paymentech people on
this side of the pond appear to have no knowledge of System i (not
sure they have even heard of IBM!), so arenhelpful. Istudying
Scottexamples in library LIBHTTP, but donknow where to start.
Also reading everything I can find on the web - especially
SystemiNetwork articles (but some not allowed as I'm not VIP member).
Questions -
1. Can the HTTP calls be run from RPG3?
2. Looking at EXAMPLE3/4/5/7 and HTTPAPI_H ight ones? (But these
raw code, so 4 and 5 below.)
3. Any suggestions to relevant articles?
4. Is there any specific Paymentech existing open source code out
there that will help me?
5. If no open source, is anyone willing to lend me code or point me
in the right direction?
Thanks in advance,
Bob Smith
