This is not a relative URL.  'Relative' means no 'http://' is present.

It's very strange to get a '302' at this point in the life of a transaction.  Normally you would get a '100.'  So the question now becomes 'what does the server want to see?'  Presuming that documentation for the application isn't helpful, try using a packet sniffer like Ethereal when you connect to the application the 'normal' way.  Then you'll have a baseline to understand how the flow works.  Once you understand the needs of the server you can write your code appropriately.
