Doug,

NTLM authentication is not (yet?) supported with proxy servers, because I do not have access to a proxy server that uses NTLM authentication. Therefore I am missing a test system I could test with. I do not believe that I could add NTLM authentication for proxy servers without having a test system.

For now NTLM authentication works only for servers. Not for proxy servers.

I've gotten around the library name issue, thanks for that!  Now I'm trying to authenticate using NTLM to get through our proxy server...
Does http_proxy_setauth only support HTTP_AUTH_BASIC or HTTP_AUTH_NONE?
or am I missing something in trying to use NTLM with our proxy server?

HTTPAPI is not bound to any library name. You can restore library LIBHTTP it to any library you want.

For example I have the following libraries on our System i:

LIBHTTP    - Most current version
LIBHTTP125 - Version 1.25
LIBHTTP126 - Version 1.26
LIBHTTP127 - Version 1.27

Make sure to specify the correct library at parameter "Library name for HTTPAPI objects", when you call the install program. The default is "LIBHTTP" but you need to change it for example to LIBHTTP127 when you restored LIBHTTP to library LIBHTTP127.

From my point of view, it is a good idea to specify "Y" for "At runtime, use *LIBL to find HTTPAPI", because then you can select your version of HTTPAPI by changing the library list.
