RE: Open connection needed for XML document receive and send



One way to be a "Web Service" is just to use CGI in one of its many flavors. CGI-DEV2 will work just fine as well as PHP, Perl, Java, Python, etc.

If you want to get started with what you know, use CGIDEV2. You can write your backend in RPG and you can get support from either the EASY 400 users group or at WEB400 on midrange.com site.

Or if Java is not your thing then write the Web service in RPG or PHP or ... and just run it through Apache.
