Re: First Data

That is correct, Bank of America is using First Data as their First
   Choice and Second is Authorize.net
I have Authorize.net up and running using HTTPAPI, but they want to use
First Data, but so far I have not luck
understanding their security parameters since they are talking about a
   .pem file etc,etc....

That's why I was asking if anybody out there have done first data using
   HTTPAPI.

They'll probably be around for a long time. Their joint operation
   with
Bank of America, and forcing clients to change from whatever (TSYS in
my case) to First Data will continue their revenue stream.

First Data has lost huge amounts of money the last several years.
Who knows how long they will be in business.
Try Jetpayi5.com They do a fantastic job, and the rates are more
       than reasonable.

Run, don't walk from First Data. While the API was simple to use,

always work if you tried to setup two computers the same way. My
experience is with C# and Windows servers. I had to install a
       certain
OpenSSL DLL, then I had to download, not reference online the WSDL
       for
       the web API.
That said, good luck getting it going. Based on some of the other
feedback, looks like writing a Java interface might be a better
       approach.
We have since moved to VirtualMerchant. Very easy to understand API
and is works how one would think an API like that should work. No
setup, just POST calls to a web API over SSL.
