RE: Versions Question

Thanks Scott.

That's what we thought but wanted to make sure. We are just trying to
connect to UPS which we are doing with no problem on the 1.24 box but
keep getting the timeout on our client's AS400 (we provide an iSeries
based software package for the diesel parts and service industry). We
are creating a web ordering system for a client that is using PHP to
call stored procedures to get back inventory, price, taxes, etc. We
want to add the function in one of the stored procedures to get the
estimated shipping cost from UPS and FedEx. We thought it would be
better to do this on the iSeries side since we may want to also
integrate it into other iSeries applications.

We are dealing with another iSeries IT staff completely so it may take
some head slapping to get them to understand and to make US
understandable! :-)

Appreciate the quick reply!

Hi Eric,

I doubt very much that the version difference would cause a timeout to
occur.

But, it's possible, if you are communicating with an unusual HTTP server
that uses nonstandard end-of-line conventions (this is the only change
made to 1.24 that might result in a timeout.)

I think it's more likely to be a firewall or routing issue, however.
