RE: Unusual Apache server error

It seems to relate to converting character sets somehow. When you debug,
does your string appear to be properly terminated (so it knows where to stop
translating)? Are you doing some kind of implicit converting from single to
double byte (unicode, etc) and is the string really long (real long!)?

Subject: Unusual Apache server error

Hi good people!

Firstly I am astounded by the level of support that Scott provides for
HTTPAPI and FTPAPI users. It would put many a paid software support to
shame. I think it also refects the passion that iSeries professionals
conduct their business!

Secondly I have been getting unusual server errors in response to HTTP
posts. Let me make it clear that I am sure the problem if any does not lie
with the posting mechanism so technically this is off topic!
The error is being recorded by an IBM iSeries Apache server instance and
reads: "ZSRV_MSG0574: translation filter - a built-in restriction was
encountered".
This would seem to be indicating invalid data in the post but I can not see
anything wrong with the server trace of the post itself.
I have done the usual google searches and found PTFs that seem to relate to
the problem but have not had any success making the problem go away.
Has anyone else encounted this error?

Thanks and Kind Regards
