RE: LibHTTP Question

Sender: "Art Tostaine, Jr." <artjr@xxxxxxxxxxx>

We've been using Brad Stone's GETURI. It works real well and he's very
helpful, but I couldn't get a hold of him quick enough to find out what
he does.

IBM told us that we have to specifically send the client cert, and I've
since heard from Brad that he is already doing that in GETURI.

I'd like to try to use HTTPAPI too, because I'd like to know more about
what's going on.

We've been working trying to talk to this server for over 2 weeks, and
we've been through two IBM'ers too.

Thanks for your quick response.

I'm told that SSL client authentication in HTTPAPI works, but I haven't
tested it myself... I don't have a web server that requires it. You
have
to create an entry for your client in the digital certificate manager,
upload the client certificate that it needs to present, and install it
as your client's certificate.

HTTPAPI also supports both DIGEST and BASIC HTTP authentication. (which
is different from what you asked me about, but might also be useful in
your application if authentication is an issue)

You're using your own HTTP client now?
