Re: [Ftpapi] HTTPAPI Install errors

Hi Barry,

Thanks for pointing that out.  I suspect that its been a very long time since someone compiled HTTPAPI without support for eXpat!   You found a bug in that particular configuration.

I've put a new copy of HTTPAPI on my web site at the following link:

http://www.scottklement.com/httpapi/beta/

It is in the "beta" directory because this is a test to make sure the fix works for you.  Please download and install it (you can use the same instructions as the regular install of HTTPAPI) and let me know if it solves the problem for you.  If all is well, I will release it to everyone else.

Thanks!

Scott,

I’m attempting to install your HTTPAPI product, Version 1.42 Released 2020-10-12.

The options I used during the install  were as follows:

Would you like to build the sample programs?                                    Y

Would you like to build HTTPAPI with SSL support?                           N

Would you like to build eXpat from source code?                               N

Would you like to compile support for eXpat in HTTPAPI?              N

                --

Library name for HTTPAPI source                                                              LIBHTTP

Library name for HTTPAPI objects                                                             LIBHTTP

At runtime, use *libl to find HTTPAPI?                                                     Y

During the install I received two errors.

Errors:

. during LIBHTTP/QSRVSRC/HTTPAPI1 at statement 150, I received..

                *** error symbol not defined : ‘HTTP_NEXTXMLATTRUCS’

. during LIBHTTP/QCLSRC/INSTALL at statement 449, I received..

                Service program HTTPAPIR4 not created.

I cancelled the halt using C.

How am I to proceed?

Thanks for your help,

BHolt
