You are receiving this error:

(GSKit) Peer not recognized or badly formatted message received.

This means that it wasn't able to negotiate a matching set of crypto 
parameters between your IBM i and the http server you are connecting to.

This is very common on V7R1 and older because the SSL/TLS standards were 
updated and for security reasons most sites removed support for the old 
stuff.  But, V7R1 is an obsolete OS, so IBM didn't update it.
