Re: [Ftpapi] http issue NLB

I am certainly not an expert, but how is the dns setup on the ibm i?

Hi,

The strange thing is that the underlying nodes works with httpapi. But not to the NLB. It’s not a firewall issue because it’s internally. The traffic doesn’t pass the firewall. Have monitored the traffic with wireshark and the traffic never comes to the NLB. Seems to be something internal on the AS400.

Hi Fredrik,

HTTPAPI doesn't do a PING, it implements the HTTP protocol.   My best guess is that you have a firewall that is blocking access to HTTP from your IBM i, but allows PING.

Hi,

Having trouble making http calls to an internal NLB (Network Load Balancing) site. Gets timeout.

Assumes that it has to do with AS400 getting DUP at ping as there are 2 nodes under NLB.

The NLB works just fine from windows PC with programs like Postman and no DUP ping.

Any suggestions on how to solve this?

Fredrik
