Re: [Ftpapi] HTTPAPI

Hi Tony,

HTTPAPI uses the SSL support that is included in the IBM i operating system.  Sadly, IBM does not enable that support on 7.1 by default, the program has to explicitly request it.  If you update to the current version of HTTPAPI (or, at least version 1.26, which was released back in 2014) it does automatically ask for the newer versions.

IBM chose not to support all of the possible cryptographic ciphers for TLS v1.2 in version 7.1, unfortunately.  So you'll be able to communicate with some sites, but those using certain ciphers will not work.  To remedy this, I would strongly recommend upgrading to a newer version of the operating system whenever possible.

Hi,

Currently using HTTPAPI V1.24 without any problems.

Have to do a new connection and they have just disabled TLSV1, and what us to use TLSv1.1 or 1.2, will this version support this or do we need to upgrade and if so do you see any issues as the current application using HTTPAPI are working fine.

Current OS version is 7.1
