Re: [Ftpapi] FW: Web Service information

Cynthia,

If you search for wsdl2rpg, you will get to a site tools400

This is written by Thomas Raddatz (Thank You) and uses Scot Klement’s (Thank You) LIBHTTP.

It has instructions to download, compile the utility. There is pdf documents as well. One of them tells how to create a test program using the WSDL2RPG Command,

It is easy to do, The utility works beautifully once installed and Zero Issues. It takes only 5 minutes to create the source and compile and actually it takes more time to fill in the parameters depending upon the WSDL.

I’ll have a look at your WSDL and try to give you some pointers.

What version of the OS are you running ?

Hi

Are you offering a web service or consuming a web service?

The WSDL would imply your consuming one, unless you have to offer a service that provides the services the WSDL defines.

I only ask as I’ve had to reverse engineer one from WSDL recently.

Help… I am tasked with creating a web service which no one at my office has done before.   Please  inform how I can take an as400 file and put it in the correct format to be used by the web service.   CAN I just copy my file from as400 to IFS  or  will I need to do more.  I’ve attached the specs that were received.  I  was expecting data to be set via FTP  but was informed that  it  must be sent via a web service.  I’ve attached the layout needed . Any assistance would be appreciated.
