RE: UPS Upgrading to a new Certificate SHA2

We are on 6.1 and recently had to do an HTTP Group PTF to enable SHA2 because our email host updated without notifying anyone. So if you are on 6.2 and have the latest HTTP Group and Cume you will be OK. My recollection is that IBM indicated that SHA2 has been in the 6.2 HTTP Group PTF for at least a couple of years, but we were behind. Now we are planning to get to 7.2 soon in order to be ahead of these last minute GOTCHAs.

HTTPAPI doesn't do anything with SSL; It's all handled by the OS.

So you'd need to make sure your OS & LTF levels support what you're trying to use.

If you're on v7r2 and upto date on PTFs you're fine.

If you on v5r4, then you might have a problem.
