Just to confirm what Gary is seeing. I changed TESTPUT to look at my ibmi (send to itself) and my fips.exe ended up in my user profile defined current library.

We know FTP on the IBMi is just enough different that it doesn't work the way a regular FTP server works. I suspect if you know that you are talking to an IBMi, you should send the namefmt command to make sure that it flips that switch.

Thanks all, I completed FTPAPI.README and am now starting my first 'FTPAPI program'
The only issues were TESTPUT and TESTAPP worked but instead of files on the IFS created files in QGPL.
Must be something local . . .
