Re: Antwort: Re: Antwort: Re: FTP_GET
Hi Christian,
I think the file you're retrieving does not have end-of-line sequences
(CRLF by default) at regular intervals. It's possible that it does
not have CRLF at all? (You'd have to look.)
The EDTF/DSPF command attempts to convert the stream file to a
record-oriented file so it can display it on a green-screen with a
particular record length. Trouble is, if it can't find end-of-line
sequences, how could it know how big to make the records? So it
assumes a default length of 132.
This is not an FTP issue, it's just the way EDTF/DSPF works. To "fix"
it (if it can be called "fixing") you'd need to change the data in the
file, or use a different tool to display it.

Yes, in this case I used as400-FTP instead of FTPAPI, for testing. The
result is the same.

Hi Christian,
Do you think you could include the TEXT in your e-mail rather than
small
pieces of graphical screenshots? That's extremely difficult to read.
(See quoted e-mail, below)
Am I correct that you are using the IBM FTP command rather than FTPAPI?
That's what your message seems to be showing me.
