I wanted to do it but in the absence of any wsdl etc. in the end I gave up and went with a working solution in PHP that I found on the web. Since our front end was already in PHP calling back end RPG we just decided to stick with PHP for the whole First Data interface. So far so good.

Their docs and examples are pretty terrible and we never could get anything working properly until we found working code.

If you want the base PHP code email me off list and I'll send you a copy. Maybe it would help you understand the interface.
