RE: Questions on Qshell

Hmmm. To keep it related to this list, you could do that by parsing the XML using Expat and then use POI or an XML routine to write in a format compatible with Excel. But that isn't batch mode in QSHELL directly (although I suppose you could call the program from QSHELL).

Qshell is not a programming construct. Yes, you can write scripts to do amazing things but you probably are better off writing a program to do what you want. If you continue down the Qshell path, look here for hints about second half of question. http://waswiki.blogspot.com/2011/05/create-full-fludge-excel-from-bash.html

If you move this discussion to midrange.com, you might find some better answers.

Subject: Questions on Qshell

Hi,

I want to open an XML file from IFS and save it back to XLS format through the Qshell in batch mode. Any idea how to do it ? Maybe there is another way to do it besides Qshell.

Thanks in advance,
