My partner had a similar injury, she was off work for 2 years, but she's
pretty much recovered now and has nearly full mobility.

folks, i've had a severe spinal chord injury.  for a while, i had no
strength at all, and now im getting a little better -- though i can only
barely type.

please try to help each other.  it may be weeks or months until i'm able
to participate again.
