RE: Unreadable characters

Mike,

I am using 2 boxes that are on 5.4. I had used the LIBHTTP product previously and was looking at needing to create a web service and saw that 1.24 was available. We loaded 1.24 on both boxes naming the library LIBHTTP124 using the method suggested from the website. The web service debug (http_debug) detailed that the program ran correctly and that the response was received but using the DSPLY calc (later used http_comp WOW! I like what you guys are doing) never output a field. Ran STRDBG and would set my breakpoint at the NAME (value in Incoming to be tested) and all I would see is reverse image characters. I looked into the change log on one system for LIBHTTP and realized that it was 1.23 so I moved the program compiled against that version and ran using STRDBG and viola, there were my fields as the test on NAME = ?????? worked. I did this because I was getting the same thing in the NAME field when I complied the EXAMPLE18 using LIBHTTP124 in my libl. When I compiled the EXAMPLE18 using LIBHTTP (which was release 1.23) in my libl everything worked. I did all of this after I sent my initial query yesterday. I hope this helps you.

Billy

Oh oh Billy. Not final yet!

Am I understanding you? You got it to work by going backwards. That can't happen!!!!!!!! At least it shouldn't.

What is broken? Now, it is your turn to contribute to the community. Stick with us and let's figure out what is happening.
