Are you running this for the first time on new system or suddenly stopped working?

Actually both are probably the same answer but the second requires more investigation to find out what changed. See the README in QRPGLESRC. Make sure the current user profile has authority to certain objects specified in the readme.

Would anybody know what would cause a "(GSKit) Access to the key 
database is not allowed." exception to be thrown?

At this point, I don't know where it happened in my code, except that 
the DSPLY statement the job is currently stopped at is in code that was 
cribbed from Example 9.
