I asked OANDA for an explanation and they responded:
	Unfortunately we were experiencing technical issues over the weekend 
	that have since been resolved. 
	We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
Not much explanation, but this verifies HTTPAPI working well.

Hi Mike.

Late Sunday afternoon (CET) the oanda procedure suddenly worked as normal
and I have just emailed them for an explanation since the problem obviously was at their site.

It's still strange that the request worked in IE8 all the time (as your try with client xxxxxxx) and
the exactly same request didn't when issuing it from httpapi.

I hope getting an explanation from oanda and will publish it on the list.

No doubt about what you are using the in the program. What I was alluding to is that you said you put the request into IE8 and it
worked fine. If you put the whole string into the location bar, you are doing a GET. It is mostly irrelevant unless the web service
only accepts one or the other. In this case, it should work just fine. As you said, it has been working for few years.

Saturday, I couldn't get oanda to respond to my request typed into the location bar. Today, it is returning "Invalid
client_id:xxxxxxx". Does your program work today?
