RE: HTTPAPI novice having (CCSID-related?) trouble with EXAMPLE1

Michael,

Example1 looks like it ran just fine. It is in English. It was quite readable on my PC. The download is of a PDF (hence the whacked out looking debug file). Did you look for and find the PDF in /tmp? Could you open it on your PC?

If it were me, I'd load the Beta (http://www.scottklement.com/httpapi/beta/). It is quite stable and has a couple of fixes.

With Example15, turn on debugging if not enabled and examine the debug file for clues. Or post the debug file here.

In the Beta, the examples changed. They are a work in progress but explain a few things better about the API and how to use it. You might want to hold on to both sets of examples (1.23 and the Beta) for a bit. Sometimes you can find something in one or the other that might be useful.
