FTP contents of an rpg variable.

Is there a function in the ftpapi to ftp the contents of an rpg variable?

ie -

rc = ftp_ContentsOf(sess:mystring:filename);

Where 'mystring' could be 1 line or 100 lines of text and 'filename' would be the destination filename.

'sess' would already be set by ftp_conn.
