RE: How identify hexa chars

Not sure where I found this otherwise I would include the proper credit.

D CRLF            C                   CONST(X'0d25')
 /free
     SCANPOS   = %scan(CRLF:FIELD1);
     DoU  SCANPOS   = 0;
        FIELD1 = %replace (FBLANK: FIELD1: %scan(CRLF:FIELD1))
        SCANPOS   = %scan(CRLF:FIELD1);
     EndDo;
 /end-free

Hope this helps

During fetching data in NAME (CHAR) field getting data in hexa chars like '' and few more fields.

How I identify that the field having hexa data and before adding the into result field so I can populate result field with Blanks.

Mahesh
