Question HTTPAPI - UPS (GSKit) Handle Error

Thanks Scott, that was bang on, but now...

I have reinstalled the LIBHTTP and made sure that the SSL option was Y.
Created the certificate store recompiled the programs and now the error
I am getting is after trying to track a package is...

(GSKit) Handle is not valid.
ssl_error(1): (GSKit) Handle is not valid.
SetError() #29: gsk_sec_soc_open: (GSKit) Handle is not valid.

I have read a few of the archived problems, but don't seem to see
anything that grabs me as an answer to the issue. Is there any more
data that I can send to help resolve the issue? Is there anything
special I need to do with the Cert Store to give the HTTPAPI access?

Steve H

Subject: Re: Question HTTPAPI - V5R4 and 5722AC3 Crypto Access

hi Steve,

Yes, in V5R4+ the cryptographic service provider is included with the
operating system. It's 5722-NAE in V5R4... you'll want to verify that
it's installed.

However, the error message you posted is not related to whether that
option is or isn't installed. That error message means that you didn't
compile SSL support into HTTPAPI. To fix it, re-run the install program

... it will ask "Would you like to build HTTPAPI with SSL support?"
make sure you answer it with a Y.

You'll also need to re-bind any exsting calling programs after you make
this change (UPDPGM/UPDSRVPGM should suffice), since SSL changes the
srvpgm signature.

Good luck!
