Web Servies on iSeries - Help on Approach

   Good Morning Scott:

First of all, kudos for the excellent work on the HTTPAPI.

OK now the issue at hand. We are using HTTPAPI to consume a web
service on an intranet server, and now we need to provide a web
service on the AS400 to service a client on the other side. The
question is what is the best and faster way to create a web service on
the AS400 that will leverage from an existing ILE program that
   contains the business logic ??

P.S we are installing Websphere express 6.0 on a test partition, and
have two references that I am looking at :
    (1) IBM red book "Enabling Web Services for the IBM iSeries Server"
   and,
    (2) an article titled Web services: "Expose legacy AS/400 programs
as a Web Service using IBM Toolbox for Java"

   [1]http://www-128.ibm.com/developerworks/library/ws-as400/index.html ,

but they both seem to imply different approaches.

In summary, please help me on this dilemma. What works better and
faster based on your experience ? The quick and dirty, and the
elegant ? Other tools ? SOAP or no SOAP, REST, etc, etc. Java is not
   an issue.
