My application on the As/400 receives positions from vehicles across the
country. I want to take that position's lat/long and display a map
through the Google interface that will show the user the location of
that truck on a map.

Hi Patricia,
What do you plan to do with the output? AFIAK, a 5250 program can't
display a JPG. If you're using this in a web interface, there's no
reason
to use HTTPAPI, because the browser can go straight to Google to get the
info.
So I don't understand what you're trying to accomplish...?
