I'm encountering a typical problem when I'm trying to FTP data files from
HP3000 to AS400.
Some of the records on HP3000 have special characters (carriage return)
embedded in between them. When I FTP these records to AS400, these records
are split into separate records. The string before the carriage return
forms one record and the string after carriage return becomes the second
record.

Is there a way I can FTP these records on AS400 as they are on HP3000, may
be replace the carriage return character with a space.


I would really appreciate if you could throw some light on this and help me
resolve this issue.
