SSL without certs?
Sorry if this is a silly question. I
am new to web services work but an oldtimer to iSeries coding.
I have downloaded and played with Scotts
LIBHTTP. Very nice.
I have stumbled through the DCM a bit.
1. We have an application requirement
where the vendor does not require digital certificates but does require
SSL 3.0 . Will we be able to communicate with them? Actual wording:
<Messaging>"All exchange of messaging between..... web services
shall use Secured Sockets Layer 3 (SSL3) protocol running on top of HTTPS"
<Authentication>"The authentication process does not require
the exchange of digital certificates between ..... and public key/private
key encryption"
2. I am receiving an error as a return
from http_url_post= "SSL Handshake: (GSKit) Certificate is not signed
by". I'm too new to know if this is internal to my config with DCM
or ?
Regards, Jim
