I assume HTTPAPI needs a web server running on the AS/400. Do you
recommend one I can install?
There are two reasons why you might want a web server to use with HTTPAPI:
a) Because you want to use HTTPAPI to connect to the same computer,
usually for testing purposes.
b) Because you need the Web server in order to configure SSL, which
HTTPAPI can use for secure communications.
It is not necessary to have an HTTP server running on your iSeries for
normal (non-SSL) communications with web services or web servers running
on other computers.
