Another thing that might be helpful to point out is that the examples aren't designed to be complete solutions to any particular business problem.  They're pretty much intended to show how to add HTTP functions to RPG.  

This means that there is other code in the examples, beyond the HTTP functionality.  I know how easy it is to get overwhelmed with new stuff, but debugging this is exactly like debugging anything else.  If you get a DSPLY message, search for the spot in the code where DSPLY occurs, and that will give you a good start on what the problem is.  Remember that not all problems are going to be related to HTTP - the other code does stuff (like write to the IFS) that may encounter issues too.
