Re: HTTPAPI 1.10 pre 6 := Encoding numbers

Scott,

You are right, there are no significant differences between the Pre 7 and 1.10.
The cause had thus to be sought somewhere else.
In fact I found it by my self and it is called 'jumping to conclusions'.
I'm sorry for that.
The better part is that I now again understand a little bit better how these things work.

Now using the interface for exchanging Soap messages we encountered a different problem.
It seems to be that when we encode numbers and at the other side they decode them again they get an different number.
In fact when they encode the same number they get an different encoding.

For example when I encode '73067516'
I get the encoding 'NzMwpjc1g/E='
When they decode they get '730¦75?ñ'

When they encode '73067516'
They get the encoding 'NzMwNjc1MTY'

We did not get complaints about encoding/decoding character strings.
Perhaps they did not lookinto it and thus...

What can be the cause for this??

Kind Regards,
Eduard Sluis.

Huh? What do you mean "forget to include the data"?

If you think that something got broken between HTTPAPI 1.10 pre 7 and the
release of 1.10, then you can get PRE7 from the following links:

SAVF: http://www.scottklement.com/httpapi/beta/1.10pre7/httpapi.savf
XML: http://www.scottklement.com/httpapi/beta/1.10pre7/httpapi.xml
ZIP: http://www.scottklement.com/httpapi/beta/1.10pre7/httpapi.zip

However, I will not support PRE7 in the future. Please only use it for
troubleshooting! If you find a bug in the current 1.10, let me know what
needs to be changed in the source to fix the problem, and I'll fix it.

As far as I know, the issues that you had before we released 1.10 were all
fixed. Obviously, I did not want to release 1.10 unless everything was
bug-free -- that's why I asked you guys all to test it!
