If I call your test program WITHOUT passing the *ENTRY parameter, then I
do get the crash.

It calls for an array of indicators as the entry parameter to the program.
Either removing the *ENTRY PARM at the start of the program, or passing a
100-byte char field from a calling CL program causes the program to work
okay.

Could that be it?
