RE: HTTPAPI - Example 3

Rick,

the HTTP server on your AS/400 does not have to be active to run the HTTPAPI
procedures. Its only used (in *ADMIN instance) to access the DCM to
initially setup the certificates, so its config is irrelevant.

Things to check:

Go to the target website & URL you are trying to connect to.
Use the padlock, bottom right of IE, & check the top level CA certificate
they are using.
Take a note of its details, serial number etc, and check the cert is on the
CA list of the DCM
Check that the http client appID has the CA cert trusted.

Subject: HTTPAPI - Example 3

Sender: "Rick Hill" <rhill@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

Does anyone have Example 3 up and working? If I look in the DCM I see
the Application ID (SCK_HTTPAPI_EXAMPLES) but still getting message
certificate not signed. It would encourage me a great deal to have a
working example before trying to use in production. Any Ideas as to what
is missing? One other thought, we are using the Apache HTTP server to
serve infromation from our AS/400 currently but not using SSL. Does the
Apache HTTP server have to be configured for SSL for SSL with HTTPAPI to
work?

Thanks,

Rick Hill
