Can you do a manual ftp?
On a command line type ftp hostname and if that does not work try ftp '188.xxx.xx.xx' or whatever you IP address you need to connect to, just to verify your dns lookup, and network connections..

Hi,
My name is Al Klokow and I work at Midwest Bank & Trust Co. in Melrose Park,
IL. This is probably something simple that I have overlooked, but I can't see
it. I've downloaded and installed the FTP API on my AS/400, but can't seem to
get the "TESTGET" program to run. I keep getting "Host not Found". I've been
around the 400 since it's inception but this FTP stuff is new to me, so please
bear with me. Thanks.
